This Listening Session is an opportunity for our neighbors in Rock County and the surrounding area to imagine a stronger community and explore our shared strengths.
We’re seeking residents in this area from different backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints to speak honestly about what matters to them as neighbors and to listen to others. In this structured conversation, we will explore what actions we could take together to strengthen civic trust and solve challenges for the common good.
Co-sponsored by Fieldstones Creative, this Listening Session is one in a series that will be held around the state for a new statewide project, Minnesota: Land of Neighbors. Land of Neighbors is aimed at combating unhealthy divisiveness in Minnesota. Organized by Braver Angels Minnesota, Civic Bridgers, and Common Ground USA, the campaign is funded by a group of Minnesota foundations.
Fieldstones Creative is a social enterprise rooted in the belief that creativity can help address one of rural life’s most persistent challenges: isolation. Through community gatherings, workshops and retreats, Fieldstones creates opportunities for people to create, share stories, explore ideas, and build connection. This work draws on the creative potential of rural places and the people who live, play, and work there.
